Christopher T. Cheng


I am a certified Full Stack Developer with a BS in Psychology and a minor in General Business.

I am a licensed attorney, but my real passion is in Web Development.

I recently completed a Full-Stack Development Boot Camp certified by UNC Chapel Hill focused on Web Development, including HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap/other CSS Frameworks, JavaScript, and jQuery, Node, React, Express, MySQL, MongoDB, and more.

I am an excellent communicator, a fast learner, and an efficient worker. Thanks to my experience in law, I excel at logical reasoning, attention to detail, and problem solving.

  • This app requires login via Google Auth and provides a simple budget tracking app with tables and graphs. The user can add to or subtract from his/her budget via a modal form.

  • This app aggregated data from various gaming news and media sites/APIs to provide an organized source for all a person’s video game information needs.

MVC Burger App

Full Stack Developer

  • Node, Express, Express-Handlebars, MySQL, and MVC Design Pattern.

  • This app lets users enter types of burgers, which are saved to a database then used to create a button. Pressing the button allows the user to “eat” the burger, changing the database entry.

  • It allows people to add custom train schedules, dynamically populated, that persisted after reloading the page.

  • • It used three API’s including OMDB, the Marvel API, and the Walmart API, and the front end was designed with Materialize CSS framework.

Student Attorney - Spring 2015

  • Practiced business law on a pro-bono basis under the supervision of Professor Rocky Cabagnot.
  • Performed a variety of legal research including but not limited to: the formation of partnerships, LLCs, corporations, and non-profit organizations; trademark registration; and NC tax law.

  • Interviewed a high volume of petitioners seeking to show cause in order to stay evictions and provided the judge with a summary of the facts and applicable law for each case.
  • Prepared signed orders to show cause for petitioners seeking to stay evictions and provided procedural instructions.
  • Inspected eviction warrants for missing documents and facial deficiencies prior to signature by Judge Cohen.
